Good afternoon Racers! 

We will have our 3rd dual meet AWAY tomorrow night at the Woods of Parkview. We have not swum against these folks since we (Robinsons) have been swimming here (7 years) so I have zero insights. I have heard that the neighborhood is off Rockbridge Rd (down past the mountain park aquatics center). In this case, it should take about 15 minutes to get there. You can find the address and directions on our website if needed rivermistracers.swimtopia.com or mapquest 1 Planters Drive. Lilburn, Ga. 30047. 

For away meets, visiting teams have a 5:30 warm up and a 6:00 start. Please plan to arrive by 5:15 to get set up and checked in with Jessica. Remember, she will have on her Red tank with "people mover" on the back. Make sure you check in with her even if you do not have a shift at this meet so she can check your kids in as well. Thanks! 

Parking will likely be limited. Prepare to park and "walk" a ways. Most opposing facilities are not blessed with generous parking like Rivermist! Remember as you park on the street NOT to block any driveways and please only park on one side of the street so that emergency vehicles can pass through if needed. Sometimes when we swim away, neighborhoods will have signs out noting which side of the street parking is allowed. If this is the case, let's please follow their requests and guidelines;-) And allow enough time to walk a ways and still be IN the pool area by 5:15 PM at the latest. ***Please note that culdesac parking is permitted until full but no parking will be permitted on the driveway itself. Once the lot is full, only one-sided street parking will be permitted. 

They will have hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, candy, sodas etc. for concessions. Pizza was not listed in their email. 

Also, no clue if we will have a bullpen so please prepare for an either/or scenario. If their facility offers us enough space for one, we will have our people in place to run one and your Racers will be expected to stay put there just as at home meets. Thanks for your cooperation;-) 

Lastly, please be good sports, be patient, be kind, be helpful, be clean (clean up after yourselves and your Racers)! Since this is a new opponent, we want to be sure to put our best foot forward no matter what we encounter! Let's be sure when we leave at the end of the meet, that The Woods of Parkview can't wait to swim us again!! We always hope our AWESOME Racers family is as loved by others as you all are by us!:-) 

UPDATE!!!!! We are now being allowed to use our blocks again thanks to an overwhelming response to this issue and some fabulous lawyering by one of our own primary councils in the GCSL! A grandfather clause has been added and we just meet the requirement with our 4' depth!! Hooray!

Also, Woods of Parkview is collecting donations for the Lilburn Coop at all home meets this season! If you wish to help replenish their low inventory, please feel free to do so! Wouldn't it be AWESOME if we help them overflow their collection box tomorrow night! Let's be generous!!;-)
