Meet #3 Results - Schedule for next week
So Many Speed Breakers!!
Last night’s meet was against Hanarry West. We lost the meet, but had 117 improved times. That is incredible and means our swimmers are improving and earning the coveted rainbow ribbons. The full results by event are attached and are posted by the playground.
For the 3rd meet in a row we had 100% sign-up and participation from our volunteers. You guys are amazing and I appreciate you so much.
I also wanted to share some heartwarming actions that I saw from our swimmers. More than winning, this makes me so proud of our team.
- In the 6 and unders, I saw the swimmer who won the heat go right over to 2nd place and tell him, “Good job. Good race.”
- After a 7 year old was upset about not winning a group of older kids encouraged him saying they did not win right away. Or they DQd the first times they swam a new event. It cheered the little guy right up.
- Tons of little swimmers stuck around and chanted and cheered for the older swimmers.
- The older swimmers did the best cheer near the end last night. So many of them have been together with Coach Zach since they were tiny Racers and they really celebrated our team last night.

Team Party Date TBD
We are planning our end of season party for the week of June 28th. I will be in touch soon with a specific date and time. We will have ribbons and Swimmer of the Meet awards from the Meet #4, team awards, games, an outdoor movie and loads of fun. More details and exact time will come soon.
County Championships July 9-11
On Monday, I will reach out to parents with swimmers on the Top 100 in the county and our top relay teams. You will need to declare your swimmer’s availability for the County Meet as well and decide on which events they want to swim if they qualify for more than 3 individual events. Sessions are listed here. County swimmers will continue practice from June 28th - July 9th to prepare for the meet. I will send much more detail on the email for this group on Monday.
Notes
Those awesome blue tie-dye parent shirts were a hit! If you missed the first order, you can still grab one online. These will not be ready by the last meet, but this style is only available this season. We need at least 12 shirts to complete an order. I will add the link to our website and send a Remind when we have the shop turned back on.
If you have any feedback, ideas, or questions about practice, meet, anything grab me anytime. This is your team and I want to make it the best possible experience.
Meet Entry and Job Signup Reminder
We all know how to do this by now, right??!!
You must declare for each meet and each swimmer. Click on both green buttons for next week’s meet and make sure you have completed both steps. You can click on each button to make sure that you have declared and have a job for each meet.
