2022 Team Sportsmanship Award

County was such a great meet for the Racers. We had so many Top 10 finishes and just about every swimmer improved time in every event. We will announce some highlights at the party, but I wanted to share the most exciting news…

Our team won the Sportsmanship Award for our entire division!!

This means that our opponents saw the joy and pride we have in hosting a meet. They saw the amazing team spirit and positive attitudes from our swimmers, coaches, and families. I know how much time and dedication it takes to participate in swim team and this award shows that we are doing it the right way by being kind, helpful, and encouraging to each other and to all teams we encounter.

Look for the plaque to be hung soon along with updated team records in the vending area.

Time to Party!

Our swim team party will be on July 30th from 5-7:30pm at Bethesda Aquatic Center. We will start at 5pm with awards and give out swimmer gifts, announce and give out county awards and other ribbons, and any photos ordered. Then we head inside for a fun swim at the indoor water park.

This is not a drop-off event. All children under the age of 12 must have a parent on the pool deck. Children ages 3 and under must wear a swim diaper + plastic cover.

Parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun and hop in the pool. We wil have snacks and drinks.

You must RSVP. I need to know which swimmers are attending to prepare something special and must provide a head count to Bethesda.

Kids Want More Swimming??

If your child is interested in more swim team or lessons there are some great local options. Each has its own culture and they all turn out great swimmers. Registration is in early July for Aug swim team or lessons and most are hosting evaluations now.

All of these places offer a young team starting around 6-7 years old when they are comfortable with freestyle and backstroke and beginning or ready to learn breaststroke and butterfly.
