We are beginning preparations for the County Meet and I wanted to share information to all families. Hopefully this will clear up the county qualification process, but it is a bit complicated so please grab me for any questions.

County Qualification

Individual Events: The Top 50 swimmers in each individual event automatically qualify to swim at County. However, each swimmer can only compete in 3 individual events plus some families are not available for county. This opens up spots for kids often in the top 60-65 (sometimes even higher) to attend.

Relays: Each team gets to send 1 Freestyle and 1 Medley relay team for each age group (boys + girls). We will try to put together the fastest team meaning that swimmers on the “A” relay teams will be asked first. But swimmers can still cut time in the last 2 dual meets to get onto the “A” relay team or be a backup in case kids cannot attend county.

County Championship:

Swimmers that qualify for county (individual and/or relays) will swim in the session for their age group only. You will not attend all sessions. Morning sessions typically warm up by 7:30 am. Afternoon sessions warm up around 1pm.

1. 15-18s → Session 1 - Friday July 7 early evening
2. 9-10s → Session 2 - Saturday July 8th morning
3. 13-14s → Session 3 - Saturday July 8th afternoon
4. 8 and Under → Session 4 - Sunday July 9th morning
5. 11-12s → Session 5 - Sunday July 9th afternoon

ACTION: I need each swimmer to declare their availability for County. Declare Attending or Not Attending without considering IF your kid will qualify. I need to know the full list of kids that would be available to swim at county if they qualify. DECLARE MY SWIMMER

Last Chance Meet:

This meet will be held on Monday June 26th and is invitation only based on the following criteria:

• Swimmers MUST be available for County
• AND have a top 75 individual time -or- be part of the “A” relay

We will swim against Evergreen Lakes to give the kids some great competition and motivation to cut times. This is their last chance to cut time to either qualify for county or improve their standings for county.

I will be forming this meet shortly and gathering responses. But if you have been getting my Top 75 County emails or your swimmer is on the “A” relay teams please mark off June 26th. The meet will be much shorter than a normal meet and we will need parents of the invited swimmers to fill volunteer roles.

I will be sending much more communication and engaging with potential county swimmers over the next 2 weeks. Top 75 lists are put out on Friday/Saturday after each Dual Meet so each kid has those 2 chances to cut time and get into the Top 75.
