    Meet Details AWAY @ Evergreen Lakes - Read this entire email for times and procedures. 

    **Morning practice at normal times tomorrow.

    Swim Meet: Thursday evening May 29th AWAY

    Address: 1230 Denmark Dr, Lilburn

    Swimmers and volunteers arrive by 5:00pm.

    Preparing: Before heading to the pool you MUST do the following:

    • Find your child’s events. They are available in several locations:
    • REQUIRED: Write your child’s name on their back and event #s on their arm/leg.
    • Pack drinks and snacks for your family. Send small games and toys to keep the kids entertained in the bull-pen. Pack extra towels and sweats to stay warm between events.
    • Meet Theme : We will be having fun with an "Under the Sea" themed meet and we'd love for you to join in. Wear your mermaid, dolphin, starfish, jellyfish attire. Heat winners will receive teal beads and a sea creature tattoo.

    Parking: Swimmer families should park in the lot in front of the clubhouse, and then along one side of the street. Please obey the traffic signs so that we do not cause a safety hazard.

    If anyone is in need of a handicap spot, please let me know.

    Arriving: Swimmers and volunteers arrive by 5:00pm. ALL SWIMMERS and volunteers check-in at the bull-pen which will be located along the left side of the pool (same side as diving well). You should bring your own chairs and tents.

    Visitor Seating and Bull Pen: Seating in general is tight and both teams are large. The visitor seating is on the tennis court side of the pool. We will set up a BullPen area for the swimmers where they can set out towels and hang out between events.

    • Visitor spectator seating is along that same side on deck, just leave a walkway along the front edge of the pool for coaches/officials.

    Swimming: Warm-ups are at 5:25pm and the meet is scheduled to start at 6:00pm. Swimmers should remain in the bull-pen for the entirety of the meet.

    PARENT RELAY!! Many of the Rivermist and Evergreen parents are part of the GaGa Masters Swim Team. We invite any and all parents to join us for a 4x25 Free relay at half-time. Bring your suit and goggles and check in with Nancy if you want to participate.

    During the meet, you can view events and results in the Swimtopia App. The Heat Sheet is also attached here if you prefer to print it. 

    Concessions: Concessions will be available for purchase with many yummy options. You can pay with Venmo or cash. They cannot accept credit cards.

    King of Pops will also be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting Swim Across America.

    Before Leaving: Your swimmer must check in with a coach or bull-pen lead before leaving. We want to make sure they do not miss any events. Missed events = Missed points to help our team win.

    Clean-up: Before leaving the meet make sure that your family cleans up. Look for swim gear like goggles, and towels and trash from dinner or snacks. Let’s show the hosting team what great visitors we are.
